In another era paper dolls were all the rage! They could be found in nearly every department store. Little girls spent hours cutting and dressing these two dimensional dolls.
One such little girl was Betty Wettstein, who began her collection at an early age, only to have her mother get rid of them after Betty wed. A bit later in life, while out and about Betty saw a book of paper dolls and was reminded of those days of old. It only took a second for her inner child to come out before she purchased them. The rest as they say is history!
Betty has generously donated her extensive collection to the society and we are continuing the indexing process. In the mean time we have a rotating display of these gems!
Stop in and see a piece of history!
